Art Of Fast Forwarding

Have you ever made a decision and after that realise that you made a mistake and sometimes its too late to reverse the mistakes? Or even after making a decision, you realise that you could have chose something better? Now, you gotta learn this...

The art of fast forwarding refers to the ability to follow out a scenario in your mind to determine how a decision or action today will influence/affect the future.

Let’s say you get emotionally attached with this person in sch/church, she is a young pretty girl and you are just becoming good friends, and you start to realise you jus keep thinking about her all the time, you are distracted, your everything is about her, and you just like to be around her all the time, because she make you feel alive... At that moment, jus start fast-forwarding in your mind,if this keeps going on, what's gotta happen, what's gotta be the end result. You start seeing each other more other, then have dinner together, then you get intimate, and then comes committment, you gotta be on the phone every night with her, doing all possible to hide this relationship, panicking when would people find out about this. You start lying and another lie to cover the previous lie to people around you. You feel tired, you decide to leave the church with the person. In the end, you went back to the way you used to live your life, meaningless, just living to die, ending your life with no eternal impact.

Hence, is this what I really want to do? Am I ready for this committment? And more importantly, is this what God has called me to do?

“A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences” (Prov. 27:12 NLT).

How many times have we gone the route of the simpleton and suffered the consequences of our actions? Then to repair the damage, it takes much time. So instead of repairing, fast forward first. It will be better because you’ll be mentored by wisdom rather than taught by consequences.
